Living Traditions from a Forgotten Kingdom

A Benefit for the Bön Children's Home
Dolanji, India

Donations and Sponsorship

The Bon Children’s Home accepts refugee children whose parents wish them to receive an education that honors and preserves their cultural heritage. The Home currently houses 217 boys and girls with education provided through grade eight.

Financial support from a few individuals worldwide combined with the efforts of the community and the untiring efforts of Nyima Dakpa Rinpoche has begun to shape a better future for the children. Of the 217 refugee children living at the Bon Children’s Home, only 59 have been adopted or have sponsors. The number of children ranging from 3 to 16 years old has continued to increase. During 2003, fifty-one new children were presented for entry to the home either by relatives or parents. Already overcrowded in space for 68 girls, new arrivals raise the space need to 146.

The children of Dolanji are the future hope of the Bonpo. Please help us by sponsoring a child or by making a contribution to this worthy effort and help to rebuild a culture on the edge of extinction.
